Aftercare information
The Basics of Piercing Aftercare
use sterile saline spray once or twice a day to remove build up
rinse piercing well in the shower
wear good quality, well fitted, professional grade jewelry
make a follow up appointment to downsize the jewelry when swelling goes away
avoid touching the piercing unnecessarily
Considerations for optimal healing
When fresh, localized swelling, redness, and tenderness is normal.
Most of the time your piercing will look and feel healed before the healing process is complete. If your piercing cycles back to feeling a bit irritated, go back to the basics of aftercare
Do not remove jewelry on your own during your healing period. Healing piercings can shrink and close very quickly, if you need to remove your piercing during healing please reach out for assistance
How to Handle your Piercing
Rather than telling you to not touch your piercing, I feel it is important for you to know how to handle your piercing! As long as you use your best judgement, it shouldn’t create issues.
Make sure your hands are freshly washed.
Be gentle, you can cause irritation easily.
Listen to your piercing, if touching it hurts stop!
Only touch your piercing when needed
